COMPARING BUTTERS.

FOREIGN EXHIBITS IN AUSTRALIA. Iα Sydney, steps have been taken to make an interesting trial of New South Wales butters irom an export standard, together with a comparison with Danish butter. Tho butter was judged and sealed and conveyed to freezing rooms, whero it will be held for two months. It will then be rejudged, together with exhibits of fresh butter ior local consumption, and the whole will bo exhibited during the sitting of tho Co-operative Dairy Factory Managers' and .Secretaries' Association's conference in Sydney. Trophies in the form of si'.ver cups, suitably inscribed, which aro being presented by Mr. Kusjell, will bo awarded to the exhibits gaining the greatest aggregate'number of points in each' class, viz., export and local consumption. After the judging is completed, a whole (lay is to be set aside for tho managers in conference to go through the exhibits with the judges, and compare the relative merits of each exhibit. Mr. M. A. O'Callaghau (one of the judges) will have all the exhibits chemically analysed, so that each manager can sco tho exact composition of his butter.

Exhibits of the best Danish, Argentine, and Siberian butters, which arc being specially imported for the benefit of Hie managers in conference, will be on view with tho local butters for comparison and educational purposes, ami will also bo analysed.

Summer Golden Pearmain started to bloom tho crop of Grayensteins commenced to increase, until this yenr there is ii tremendous crop, and the small branch of Summer Golden Pearmaius is also simply loaded.
