{, PRACTICE AT POLHILL GULLY. Iα view of the "Daily Mail" competition, to bo iired at Trentharn on May 20, the Karori Hide Club held a competition at Polhill Gully lliile Range on Saturday afternoon. The conditions were unfavourable for good shooting, the light being bad. Nevertheless, some good scores were made, President Judd being top scorers for the- clay with the tine score oi 100. rONGAKOA RIFLE CLUB. Sorcn members of tho Pongaroa Rifle Clui) were in attendance at the rifle range on Wednesday. The wind conditions were good, but the day was dull and wet. The president, Mr. A. 0. Herbert, made a splendid shot, scoring possibles nt both 200 and 500 yards' range. As he has not previously scored the possible at 200 yds., the rifleman secures a gold medal given by the club. The scores were as folloW: ~ 200 500 yds. yds. H'p. T'l. \ C.
