As a result.. of. the recent fire, 3000 houses in Kirin, including tho Consulates, were destroyed. There are a thousand persons homeless. The fire was due to incendiarism on the part of revolting Chunchuses. Other fires through incendiarism are reported from various points along tho East Chinese Railway. Immense damage has been caused.
