NEW THEATRICAL ENTERPRISE
$ :
When the Hugh Ward Comedy Company, was in Wellington a few weeks ago the hope was expressed that, with the retirement of Mr. Ward from activo work on the stage to take up his eharo of work as a partner in the firm of J. G. Williamson, Ltd., tho company would not disband. This hope has been realised. Arrangements havo been made whereby Messrs. Reginald Wykoham, stage manager for Mr. Ward, and a capable actor, and Mr. W. 'A. Low, Mr. Ward's manager, will continue, to tour the company much on tho same lines as it has been run in tho past. They will be without tho services of Miss Grace Palottn and Mr. Ward, but thoir places are to bo filled with competent artists, capable of maintaining tho high traditions of this bright little company. The company will continue to produce "Seven Days," "A Bachelor's Honeymoon," and "Tho Oirl from Rector's," in Australia, and will add now farces to the repertoire as occasion dictates. Mr. Low passed through Wellington yesterday to makearrangements for the appearance of tho company in Melbourne.■
