It has been announces. olUcially that the King has appointed a borW of trustees , for the museum—Sfr. I;, riarcburt,'the Secretary for Greater Britain, Viscount Esher, and the First Commissioner of Works for the time being. An anonymous donor has pitii-ed a large sum in the hands of the trustees for forwardiiiK the foundation Of a museum on the lines of the Mnseo Cnrnavalct, in Paris. Tha famous Hilton-Price collection of London antinnities lias already been secured as a nucleus ,and tho King has placed the State apartments at Kensington Palace temporarily at the disposal of tho trustess for Iho exhibition of the collection already cot tosether, but it is hoped . c oon to secure a permanent home —probably in some old building in the city,-
