"The Whip," a Drury Lane drama which has achieved a three-season success in London and has proved similarly attractive to Australian playgoers, is to be produced at the Opera House, by a strong Williamson Company on Thursday evening next. From the point of spectacle it is said io set a new standard and its big stage settings have called forth many enthusiastic encomiums from the Australian press. The company includes Mr. Lionel Atwill, Mr. Ambrose Manning, Mr. Charles Blackall, Mr. Robert Bollomloy, Mr. Charles Graham, Miss Evelyn Kcrny, Miss Winifred Scott, Miss Fyfo Alexander, who, with the exception of Mr. Manning, are new to Wellington. The latter will lie remembered for his fine character acting with Mr. 'Wilson Barrett, when the late, actor visited New Zealand years ago.
