■Wheat.—Tho market closes a shade easier on decline of American due to better weather reports, but a strong Continental demand continues which, with British speculation is renderine a serious relapse improbable, although tho European crop outlook is favourable. Holders are asking 355. 6d. for South Australian January shipment, and 355. 3d. for New South Wales April shipment. An Australian cargo sold at 355. ljd., and two others at 355. 3d. There is an improved demand for Australian on spot, at 375. to 575. 6d. ..... Flour.—There is more activity in c.i.f. business. South Australian and Victorian May shipment, i235. : 6d. t0.235. 9d.: .there is a slow demand for flour on spot, at 245. 6d. to 255. Oats aro firm and tho high prices aro restricting sales; gartons, 20s. to 225.; sparrowbills, 19s. 6d. to 21s. 6d.; La, Plata, May-June shipment, 14s. 9d. ■ . .Beans arc in small supply; spot. 355. to
365. Butter is quiet. Danish unchanged, at Ills, to 113s. A few choicest colonials arriving and sell readily. Australian salted, 965. to 985., occasionally KOs.; unsalted, 1025., a few making 1045.; New Zealand, salted, 104s. to 1065.; unsalted, 108s.; secondaries are neglected. European supplies arc increasing rapidly. Cheese is steady. New Zealand coloured is in better demand, at 625. Sugar.—German beet, 88 per cent, net titre 5d higher, at 10a. 7d.; first mark cranulatcd, f.o.b. Hamburg, sd. highcr.'at 12s. Bd. per cwt. Bradford Tops'—The market is firm, and unchanged.
