Heavy rain has fallen in some parti northward of East Capo and Kawbin, anrt rain has commenced in other districts of the. North Island, while cloudy and hazy weather has epicad elsewhere, llinh easterly winds have prevailed northward ot Kast Cape aud Kawhia, aud variable winds generally. Present indications are for tho passage of a storm area, over the North Inland, with heavy jain on tho East Coast, river* flooded, .ind heavy seas.
