KING LEOPOLD'S ESTATE.
DAUGHTER BRINGS A LAWSUIT. By Telegraph—Press Associalion-Oopyrieht Brussels, May 9. An action by Princess Louise, of Belgium, to enforce claims against the late King Leopold's moneys has begun. The Dutch Minister for Justice, speaking in the Chamber of Representatives in February, announced (hut a compromise regarding King Leopold's patrimony had been arrived at, whereby all the Crown Foundation securities would revert to the Slate, the fatter to assign to tho Nicdcrfullbach or Colinrg Foundation .CM,OOO sterling. He added that the Government had now only Princess Louise tc deal with. The Minister emphasised King Albert's generosity in relinquishing in favour of 'Belgium his rights in the Nicderi'ullbach Foundation.
The, following statement appeared in the London "Times" on December 10:— The hope that tho dispute in regard to the estate of Leopold Ii would bo settled amicably and without public scandal is not to bo fulfilled. Princess Louise has just commenced proceedings against the .Belgian Government for the restitution of the property, securities, and effects comprised in the Nictlcrf ti 11 finch Foundation.
