Kurka Dubof, painter, aged 21, ono of the accused, gavo evidence on his own behalf. He disclosed a remarkable history of his persecution in Russia. Dubof admitted that he had visited the missing. man, "Peier tho Painter," and that he also knew Gardstein, the Russian who was fatally shot in the affray.
