FREIGHTS AND FARES REDUCED. By Teleeraph-Fress Association-Copyrteh! (Rec. May 9, 0.20 a.m.) Sydney, May 8. From tho 25th instant the reduction of railway fares and freights- will corao into operation, totalling approximately .EoO.OOO. It is chiefly made in the interests of farmers and other producers in distant districts. Return fares will be abolished, excepting on suburban lines. . Two single fares will be made equivalent to one return, the idea beiug to squeeze out ticket "scalpers."
