CENTRAL MISSION.
A special feature of the service held at the King's Theatre last night in connection with the Central Mission was the antiphoiial singing by two choirs—a child; ren's choir on the platform, led by Sir! W. E. Howe, and an adult choir in the gallery, led by Mr. H. Baker. -The hymns, "Art Thou Weary?" "Who is on the Lord's Side?" "Peace, Perfect Peace," and "Low in the Grave He Lies," were sung responsively by tho two choirs. The children's choir also rendered the anthem, "Hear the Trumpet Loudly Calling." The Rev. E. 0. Blamires, preaching from tho text, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," spoko of tlio gift of rest, and the finding of rest, and referred especially to two kinds of rest—tho rest of sleep and the rest of occupation. "Mothers' Day"—an American idea introduced into Wellington last year by the Y.M.C.A.—will bo celebrated at the Central Mission services next Sunday, and Mrs. Blamircs will speak at the evening meeting.,
