Sir Newton Moore, Agent-General for Western Australia, has arranged that besides the Orient Company's steamers, which will tako 450 monthly, tho White Star steamers will tako 400 each in September, October, and December. Thoso nominated average 130 weekly. EXTRA STEAMERS ENGAGED. London, May u. The steamer Mamari sailed with GlO emigrants for New South Wales. Mr. T. A. Coghlau, Agent-General for New South Wales, has arranged for a full complement of emigrants to fail by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamers every two months, in addition to those going out by the regular lines. DOMESTIC SERVICE SHORTAGE. Adelaide, May C. The Government inquiry into the domestic servant problem has produced overwhelming evidence that the supply of girls is far short of the demand. Various reasons are ascribed, the chief being preference for factory life. The importation of a large number of carefully-selected domestics, and training in the public schools for domestic service, are recommended. -\
