A VEDANTA WELCOME.
J he Wei ington Centre of tho Vcdanta Society hold a public reception in the, Masonic Hall last evening for tho purpose of welcoming Sister Avabamia the pioneer representative of the movement m New Zealand, on her return visit to this country before leaving for India. The chair was. occupied by Mr. P aco who made a speech expressive of tho pleasure they all experienced in seeing her among them again, and of the good units which her teaching had already borne. A varied musical programme ntldcd greatly to the pleasure of tho evening. Sister Avabamia will loctnro in the Masonic Hall, Bonleott Street, to-morrow morning, at 11 o'clock, upon "Divine Pymhology," and in iho ovening, at 7 o'clock, upon "What Effect have tho Elements and Planets upon Man and Things?" both lectures being given from a Vodanta standpoint. On Wednesday afternoon a lecture for women only is to bo given in the Masonio Hall.
