AIR FLIGHT OVER SYDNEY.
THE CITY CIRCUMNAVIGATED. By TelezrapU—Press Association— Oopyricht (Rec. May 6, 1.5 a.m.) Sydney, May 5. Mr. Hammond, tho English aviator, to-day mado his biggest Sydney flight so far. In the space of 42 minutes he crossed over the city and harbour to the heads, and returned over most of the suburbs. Thousands witnessed the flight.
Mr. Hammond carried one of bis mechanics, and afterwards tho other mechanic gave an exhibition.
OBITUARY.
THE BISHOP OF BATHTJRST. By Telczraoh—Press AsEoeiation-CoßyrlsUt (l'ec. May 5, 10.45 p.m.) Sydney, May u. The death is announced of Dr. Camidge, Anglican Bishop of Batluirst. Death took place suddenly from heart failure, while Dr. Camidge was writing a letter. The deceased was the oldest Bishop in Australia, ,. and was twice Acting-Primate.
, The Right Kev. Charles Edward Camidge, Bishon of Bathurst. New South Wales, was the" son of tho Rev. Charles Joseph Camidge, D.D., vicar of Wakcfiekl. He was born in JS3B, and was educated at Wadham College, Oxford, where ho graduated B.A. in 1859 and JI.A. in 1861. He was ordained deacon in 1860, and priest in 18C1. Ho was vicar of Hedon from ISGB to 1873; rector of Whcldrakc, Yorkshire, from 1873 to 1877; vicar of Thirsk, Yorkshire, from 187G to 1S87; canon and prebendary of York from ISB2 to 3857; rural dean of Thirsk from 1683 to 1887; and proctor in Convocation for the archdeaconry of Cleveland from ISSfi to 1887. He was consecrated Bishop of Bathnrst on October. 18, 1887. MR, WALTER SAVILL. London, May 4. Mr. Walter Savill, senior partner in tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company, is dead.
