NEW ZEALAND'S DREADNOUGHT.
TO BE LAUNCHED BY LADY WARD. By Telegraph--Press Association-Copyrisht. London, May 2. It is officially announced that Lady Ward, wifo of the New Zealand Prime Minister, will launch the battleship cruiser Now Zealand on the Clyde on June 29.
New Zealand's gift cruiser will have a displacement of 18,750 tons, and her turbine engines aro to develop 45.0C0 horsepower, and give a speed of 25 knots. The main armament will consist of eight 12in. gmis, and 1G 4in. guns. The big guns will be so disposed as to allow of all eight guns firing on either broadside, and mx firing ahead or astern. The vessel will carry five 21in. torpedo lubes.
