Barometric pressure has decreased everywhere, but especially in tho far north, and hiirli easterly wind 3 and heavy rain ha 3 fallen in those parts. Hazy and cloudy weather has spread over the country today, with variable winds. Present indications arc for a falling barometer everywhere, and rain in all parts of the country, with rivers rising in the North Island. Easterly winds strong to gale will probably- prevail northward i of Kawhia and Castlepoint, and increasing easterly and northerly winds elsewhere soon. D. C. BATES.
