AUSTRALIAN WORK PRAISED. , By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright London, April 30. The newspapers highly praise the Gainsborough and Buller memorials being exhibited at tho Royal Academy by Mr. Bertram Mackennal, the Australian sculptor. They also praise the picture "The Mask," by Mr. George W. Lambert, the New South Wales artist, and protest against the Academy authorities "skying" it. It is, they say, the finest nude study in the exhibition. Birley's picture, "Countess of Annesloy," is also 'commended.
