ANSWERS TO CORBESPONDENTS. "Injjuirer."—Sinco you attained the age of 21 on March U, 1911, you are subject to the terms of the proclamation requiring every male inhabitant who was between the ages of H and 21 on March 1, 10U, to register, and must therefore fill in the prescribed form of registration before June 2. Having registered, you may or may not afterwards be called upon to serve—that depends upon the merit of any claim yon may advance in support of your application for exemption—but if you are, then you servo till the age of 25. Between 25 and 26 you are liable for a certain amount of training; - after •' that you are posted to the reserve. In all probability the General Training Section will be discarded, as the forces are to be raised to war strength, and it may then be possible to satisfy the requirements of compulsory military {raining with a shorter period of service. The new regulations, to be issued shortly, will no doubt deal with that point.
