Electrical storms and heavy rain have been experienced in many parts. The rivers have been flooded on the west coast of the South Island. Present indications arc for westerly winds, strong to gale, veering to southerly everywhere shortly, ltnin and colder weather is expected, with snow on high lands in tho south.
