Professor foxer, of Jena, at the German Surgeons' Congress, detailed the construction for a woman of an entirely i new oesophagus out of an intestine and outer skin grafted on to the organ which had been destroyed. The woman had ■attempted suicide by taking sulphuric, acid. The burns caused by the acid had reached the pharynx. The stomach, added the. doctor, was noiv taking solids and fluids.
