MINING DISPUTE. (Rw. April 27, 10.15 p.m.) • London, April 27. A conference of the Miners' Federation of Britain, has decided to ask the Cambrian Combine to agree to arbitration regarding the Ely Pit dispute.
THE QUEENSLAND LOAN.
. (Rec. April 27, 10.15 p.m.) London, April 27. It is officially announced that 91 per cent, of the Queensland loan remains in the underwriters' hands.
THE WRECKED STEAMER ASIA.
London, April 27. It is stated in London that the hull of the steamer Asia, which struck on a rock 200 miles south of Shanghai, and sank, is insured for .£30,001). The losses in cotton and silk represent several thousand pounds.
EXONERATED.
Paris, April 27. The magistrate has released Credanne, considering that he is exonerated from complicity in connection with alleged financial and administrativo irregularities in the cash accountancy department of the French Foreign Office, into which a searching inquiry was recently held.

RESTRICTIONS WITHDRAWN.
Gape Town, April 27. The restrictions against the importation of English cattle have been withdrawn.

The State Government has decided to pay a minimum of XllO to all adult members of tha Civil Service. • Unlike the conditions in the Federal Service, there is to be no three years' stipulation. While being removed to Dartmoor, Stinie Morrison, sentenced to death for the murder of Leon Boron, a French .lew, the sentence being afterwards commuted, struggled with the warders at Waterloo Station.
