It is understood that the steamer Medina, the latest addition to the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company's fleet, will convey King George and Queeu Mary to India for the Durbar. Caird's shipbuilding yard on the Clyde, is to take the lung mid Queen out to India for tho Coronation Durbar at Delhi. The Medina will bo among the largest and finest of the famous P. and 0. fleet; 570 ft. long, and with a beam of 63ft., she will have a displacement of 18,700 tons.. The engines will be quadruple expansion of 14,w horse-power, which wilt give tho new liner a speed of 18 knots an hour. A very powerful wireless telegraph apparatus will be installed on board, so that his Majesty will be able to maintain direct communication with the Empire capital. Tlie ship-will be fitted to accommodate, when in ordinary use, 460 first and 220 secondclass passengers. . "the proclamation. solemnity of our coronation. Lientenant-G6v-crnors, and other of Our Officers, the Princes, Chiefs, and- Nobles of the Native States under Our Protection, and the Representatives of all the Provinces of Our Indian Empire; Now We do by this Our Eoyal Proclamation, declare Onr'Royal intention to hold at Delhi on tho twelfth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, an Imperial Durbar for the purpose of making known the said Solemnity of Our Coronation; and We do hereby charge and command Our right trnsty and well-beloved Counsellor, Charles, Baron Hardingo of Pensburst, Our Viceroy and Governor-General of, Tudia. to take all necessary mcasui'es~iu' that behalf.
