Fair woather lins in the East Coast districts, but showery in parts elsewhere. and a thunderstorm nnd heavy rnin occurred on the West Coart of the South Island last night. The barometer lias fallen considerably in the south, and northerly and westerly winds have increased generally. Present indications are for stormy weather and high northerly and westerly winds, strong to ga'e, southward of New Plymouth and Napier, veering to southerly in about, sixteen hours. Rain is probable in mos.t parte, and heavy in the West Coast districts southward of New Plymouth, with rivers rising. The barometer is likely to fall, but rise everywhere after from 16 to 20 hours.
