Mr. Winston Churchill (Homo Secretary) announced in' the llouso of Commons that it was not intended to issue an order allowing dressmakers to work extra hours in connection with the Coronation trade. [Replying recently to a deputation protesting against the proposed order- to permit dressmakers to extend their hours of work in Mnv and .Tune in view of the Coronation, Mr. Masterman (Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Home Office) stated that Quoen Mary had made special arrangements to prevent overtime being worked on her drosses. Ho wished everyone would bo similarly considerate and promised to reconsider the order.]
