» KEROSENE LAMP EXPLODES. The Newtown Fire Brigade were called to 91 Coromnndpl Street at half-past • o'clock yesterday morning to suppress a tiro caused by tlio explosion of a korcscno lamp. The contents of a room and tho side wall of the house were slightly damngetl. The building is a seven-roomed dwelling owned by Mr. P. Muoer ana occupied by Mrs. fimily Dwyer. Insurances were- ,£3OO oir the building in th? Commercial Union and .£159 on the contents in the United Office. QUICKLY SUPPRESSED. At 7.13 o'clock last evening tho City Brigade were called to a tiro on Waterloo Ouay, where a building lately occupied 'bv'Dymoek md Co. is being pulled down.
