WORKERS' HOMES.
INTEREST':IN NEW PROPOSALS. Applications from all over Now Zealand havo come to tie Laboiu , Departs rnent for tho erection of workers' dwellings under the Act of last year. Under'the provisions of this Act a man can, apply to havo a cottage erected in any locality, and the Government assist him also to obtain the necessary land. The- Department's plans for tho cottapes, the regulations under which application is to be made, and tho conditions to be fulfilled,'wero recently circulated over tho Dominion. Tho Labour Department officials state that the new provisions seem to meet with the approval of workers, who aro bona fide in theii desire to acquire a home.
