PROPOSED DOMINION AWARD,
A conferenco attended by roprosenta« tives of-the Grocers' Unions in the four chief centres is to open at Christelmrcu to-ilnv It is proposed to form the. unions into a'federation, and to draft common demands for a Dominion award which will bo applied for in -each district as (he various existing awards expire. The conference will also consider the boarinr of the latest nniendinent to the Shops and Offices Act upon the conditions of the trade. Iho Wellington delegates. Messrs. \\. \Yakelm (local president), and J. Sharp left for Cliristeliurc.li last evening. . They were, accompanied by the Auckland Union delegates, Messrs. J. Rosser G. V. Pearce (president), and l\. Burns (treasurer).
