LOWEE HUTT MAYORAL ELECTION. MB/H. BALDWIN will address the ~ JJL :, Electors TO-NIGHT (TUESDAY), 25th ■'. APEIL, at ST. JAMES'S HALL, Woburn Road, at 8 o'clock. LOWER HUTT. MAYORAL ELECTION. ' TO THE ELECTORS. T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN.-I invite -" you to meet mo at the Congregational Schoolroom, Alicetown, at 8 o'clock THIS EVENING, when I will deliver my second address. Yours faithfully, E. P. BUNNY. MIEAMAE BOEOUGH ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS OF MIEAMAE, TVEAR SIR OR MADAM,— *-* At the request of a largo number of tho electors of Miraniar, I have decided to allow myself to be nominated as a candidate for a seat on the Miramar Council. I have resided in the Borough for upwards of six years, and have interests in-com-mon with yours. A representative of this kind on the Council must assure you of having your improvements carried out in a manner which will be satisfactory generally; and, further, my business makes it necessary for me to make a round of the Borough every morning, which, without inconvenience to myself, must be of great advantage to the electors, inasmuch that I will be in a position to report any matter that requires attention. The first and most important matter that requires the attention of a new Council is the tramway service. I am a strong believer in a forty-minute service up to 8.46 a.m., and an eighty-minutes servico up to 12.40 p.m., and then a fortyminute service through tho afternoon and evening. The present new servico is an eighty-minute ono up to 5 p.m. In consequence or being close to tho tram-line, 1 have had an opportunity of observing tho number of people who travel in tho afternoons and evenings, and feel confident that this necessitates tho service I have stated. I firmly believo that the only way to foster the progress of tho district is through a convenient and cheap tram servico. Tho next matter which will have my attention, should I be elected, .would-bo the development of our beaches in a w;ay which would make them more attractive. I consider that wo have a means in this way of greatly improving our . tramway returns. I nlso believe in a certain amount of trre-planting every year to a reasonable extent. Tho Water and Drainage—l would advocate this being pushed on as speedily as possible, and feel confident that there will bo a large number of buildings erected in the Borough when these, conveniences arc available. In my opinion, a good water supply is essential, to ithe progress of any Borough. Road Improvements arc of great importance, and should be carried out on the most economical lines. The hill roads and those on Miramar Plat require immediate attention; in fact, I consider they have been to an extent neglected. And I can assure you that if elected I will give this matter my early consideration.. Lighting-—I am ' strongly in 'favour of carrying this out in tho most necessary places. Should you favour me with your support at the coming election, I can assure you that, with a practical eye on tho many minor affairs of the Borough, you will have nothiug to regret in the future. Yours faithfully, WILLIAM TELFORD. STUDY the Property Mnrket.-The Back Page of "The Dominion" U a Laud aud Farm Director;.
