MASTERTON NOTES.
v . e (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.! Masterton, April 24. At a meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Chamber of Commerce this afteriioon it was decided to issue petitions for signature throughout the Wellington and Hawko's Bay districts for presentation to Parliament, urging the deviation of the Rimutaka railway. A sitting of a Conciliation Council will be held here on Friday to hear the engine-drivers' dispute.
