RACING AT RANDWICK. A NEW RECORD. ESTABLISHED BY TRAFALGAR. By TeJcEraDh—Pres3 Association-Copyricht (Rec. April 22, 7.50 p.m.) Sydney, April 22. The Australian Jockey Club's Autumn meeting was concluded at Eandwick today. The weather was fine and the attendance large. The following arc the results :— ROUS HANDICAP, of 500 sovs. One milo and three furlongs. Mr. F. Merton's cli. c. Aurofodina, by Flavus (imp.)— Nereid, 3yr.«., Sst. 10lb 1 Hartfcll, 7st. 111b 2 Kangar, Sst. 71b 3 Fifteen started. True Spec and Haze carried the field lo tho entranco of the straight, where Aurofodina came away and won by a length. Hartfoll beat Nangar by half a length. Time, 2min. 22jS.ec. PLACE HANDICAP, of 500 sovs. One mile and a half. Messrs. AVilliamson and Mansfield's br. c. Cadonia, by Prudent King— Enooma, 3yrs., Sst. 21b 1 Adgio, 7st. 3lb 2 Mil, 7st. 51b 3 Fifteen started. Posaune made the running to the half mile, followed by Loyal Blue, Cadonia, and Bridge. Loyal Blue and Posaune wore first into the straight from Cadonia and Mil. Once fairly on the way home, Cadonia shot to tho front; and landed a winner by a length and a quarter, with a neck between second and third. Time, 2min. 33Jsec. SECOND STEEPLECHASE, of 400 eovs. About three miles. Mr. A. L. Wright's b. g. Confederate, by Associate—The Cripple, aged, list 1 Nitro, list. 51b : 2 Boisdale, list. 9lb 3 Five started.. Confederate was in front all the way, and in an exciting finish won by a length. Time, 7min. GJscc. A.J.C. PLATE, of 1500 sovs. Three miles. Messrs. P. and W. Mitchell's ch. h. Trafalgar, by AA'allace—Canary, syrs., 9st. 51b 1 Byplay, Sst. 121b; 2 The Lad, Ost 3 Also started: Bibbenluke, 9st. 21b. Bibbenluke acted as pilot to Trafalgar, Byplay, and The Lad in that order to the half mile. At this stage, Bibbeuluko had twenty lengths' lead, but tho field gradually closed up. Trafalgar went to tho front at the six furlongs, ami a little later Byplay moved into secon dplace. Trafalgar showed the way into the straight, and coming away, won by three-quarters of a length, Byplay beating The Lad .by thirty lengths. Time, smin. 22Jscc—an Australasian record. . SECOND NURSERY HANDICAP, of 500 sovs. For two-year-olds. Six furlongs. 3lessrs. AV. and F. A. 3loses's b. g. St. Medoc, by St. Alwynnc—Birida, 7st. lib 1 Borrosov, Sst. 121b \. 2 Hespect, Ost : 3 Twenty-four started. Pride of Murillo was at the head of affairs to the straight, followed by Cisco and St. Medoc. Tho latter went to tho front by the halfdistance, and won comfortably by a length. Time, Imin. 17sec. FINAL HANDICAP, of. 500 sovs.' One mile and a quarter. ' Mr. A. Kerr's ch. g. Eeg, by GerardSwallow, aged, Gst. 121b ' 1 Broadsword, 9st o Chaste, Cst. 121b 3 Eighteen started. Broadsword was prominent into tho straight. Bog shot out below the Leger and won a great race by half a length, a close third. Lady Medallist finished sixth. Time, 2min. Clscc.
