o . RUMOUR DENIED, By Telcsraph-Prc33 Association-Copyrieht Melbourne, April 22. The general manager of the MessageriesMaritimes emphatically denies the recent rumour that the company contemplates withdrawing its steamers from the Australian trade. The 'present contract, he says, expires in July, 1912. Negotiations between the company and French Government for its renewal have not been completed, and no one is yet able to say what the new agreement will be.
