LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report having held their usual sale at Ekotahuna on Friday, when they had a fairly good yarding of both sheep and cattle, and effected a total clearance, with the exception of two small pens of sheep. Sheep of good quality sold at late rates, while poorer sorts were very much neglected. Quotations:—Mixed-aged ewes, 3s. 6d., 4s. Id., 4s. Bd., to ss. 3d.; better sorts, 6s. 2d., 6s. 7d., to 6s. 9d.; forward, ewes, b». Gd., 7s. 3d., Bs. 6(1., to Bs 9d.; f.m. ewes, in lamb, 7s. Id. to Bs. 2d.; lambs, ss. 6d.. sp. lid., to 6s. 3d.;.ewe lambs, to 7s. Cattle: Two and a half-year steers (good), £5; two-year steers, £4 ss. to £4 lis',; spring cows, £4 Bs. to £4 15s. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report for the week ended April 21 as follows:—At Feilding, on Friday, wo had a fair entry of sheep and a large entry of cattle. Stock wcro dull of sale, and rather difficult to quit. We quote:—Cull ewes, 2s. 10d.; wether lambs, ss. 4d.. 65., to 6s. 6d.; forward wethers, lis. Id.: two-tcoth ewes, 135.; rams, at various prices: weaner steers. 18s. to 205.; store cows. 265.: fat heifers,. £4 10s.; weaner heifers. 275.; empty cows, £3 14s. 6d ; weaner steers (good). 305.; good weaner I heifers, 335. 6d.; yearling bulls, 20s, to 225. .6d,
