The weight of the eggs in butter, sugar and flour, J teaspoonful of halting powder, tlio rind of 1 lemon grated, puff pastry. Beat tlio butter and sugar to a cream, add the eggs (well beaten) and tlio flour giadually, beat for a few minutes and stir in tlio baking powder. Roll somo pastry out very thinly, cut a strip about 2 inches wide. Line tho edgo of tho pie-dish with this, put somo jam in the bottom of the pie-dish, and tho mixture on top. Bako in a moderate oven for about 3hr.
