MAORIS AT THE CORONATION.
'A TROUPE TO GO HOME. (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) ~r . . Auckland, April 20. ihe Maori is ever a source of interest to the dweller overseas. On Saturday last, Mr. Alf Warbrick. of Rotorna, received a cable from a firm in London asking him if it was possible to Ssnd a company of Maoris, comprising 50, and including Maori carvers, to England for the Coronation, and to reply forthwith. Mr. Warbrick set to work, and sptnt many hours with the Natives at Whakarevvarewa, with the result that a cable was sent on Tuesday to the effect that a troupe would be available. The cable received by Mr. Warbrick stated that the passages of the company would be arranged for, and as there will be a steamer leaving -Sydney on May .3, it is proposed that the troupe leave by that vessel. This will be about the latest dfite on which they can leave to ensure their being in Lonclon for- the Coronation, and Mr. Warbrick is making arrangements accordingly.
