Palmerjton Wedding. A quiet and pretty wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church on Tuesday aiternoon, when Miss Mildred Mnxton M'Kenzio, daughter of Mr. W. M'Kenzie, of Palmerston, was married to Mr. Bert. Stevens, of Ngapatahi, Pohangina, eldest son of Mr. J. 11. Stevens, Inspector of Post and Telegraph Offices. The Roy. A.\V. Payne officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an empire dress of white silk, with an overdress of Brussels lace, together with a veil and wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet. Her sister, Miss Kathleen Bright, wore a pale blue voile dress, trimmed with black velvet, and large, black hat, with pale blue; and Miss Stevens (sister of the bridegroom), in pink voile, trimmed with black, and wearing a largo black hat. with pink and blue .tri'tnrning, attended her as bridesmaids. Both carried bouquets of pink and white cosmeas. Mr. J. Coyle, of Wellington, was best man, and Mr.. Waldo Stevens groomsman. The bride's present frora the bridegroom was a gold pendant, pet in tourmalines and pearls, and to.the bridesmaids gold brooches. After the ceremony at tho church the guests, comnrisinj! the near' relatives and friends, assembled at tho residence of the bride's parents, Avenue Street, where the wedding breakfast was served. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens were the recipients of many presents, among them being ono from the children of .Koinnko, accompanied by a letter from the little ones, which was greatly' appreciated. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens left by the afternoon train on their wedding "tour, carrying with them the wishes for their future happiness of a host of friends. Wcddinfl at Foatherston. A quiet wedding took place in the Feather ton Presbyterian Church on- Monday afternoon, when Mr. Henry Vincent Griffiths, of Auckland, was marired to Miss Annie Frances Biisch, late of Fcatherston. iho bride was.given awav by her.cousin, Mr Upritchard. Miss Ethel Ada Millard cousin of tho bridegroom, and the little Misses Irene Pritchard and[Leach acted as bridesmaids, while Mr. R. W. Griffiths, brother of tho bridegroom, was best mnn, and Mr. TTnritchard groomsman. The" Rev. G. K~. Stowell was the oPientiug minister. Miss Baker presided at tho organ. Tho wedding breakfast was served in the Oddfellows' Hall. Tho brido and bridegroom intend making Auckland their home. The bride'has for.somo timo resided in Eongotea, and, iwth the bridegroom, has been a worker in tho Sunday School. Mr. Harris is a local preacher. Tho ceremony was" performed by the Rev. \V. Harris (father of tho bridegroom), assisted by the Rev. A. H. Fowlcs. Miss Grant; was tho bridesmaid,' and the duties of groomsman were ' carried out by the Rev. A. 0. Harris, brother of the bridegroom. The breakfast, to which a large number of guests sat down, was , provided in the Coronation Hall.—Feilding correspondent.

Mrs.- :J.- Frater - (.Auckland) has been visiting Mrs. Levett. Miss Evans (Pahiatiia) is the guest of Mrs. Pickering (Waituna). Miss West (Wellington) is staving with Mrs. Gillospie. "-. Miss Haybittle has returned from a holiday spent in the south. Mrs. Peat is visiting Palmerston. Mrs. bymonds (Pnhiatua) has returned to her home. Mrs. Stovens (Wellington) is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. Atkinson. Mrs. and Mrs. Glasgow have motored through to Wanganui to attend the Collegiate School festivities. '"" Mr. and Mrs. Horrocks are spending a few weeks in Auckland. • Madamo Dolores gave- one of the most delightful concerts ever given in Feilding last Wednesday night,, and was greeted hy an enthusiastic audience. Among those present wero Mr. and Mrs B-obarts, Mr. D.nd Mrs. Cotterill, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton, Mr. and Mrs. Montgomoxy Mr, and Mrs. Jacob, Mr. and Mrs Glnsrow. Mr. Gillcspifl, Misses West, Snaiii Walpole, Lontr, Kirton, Wyatt, O'llalloran, and many others. Harem Skirl at the Races. Tho presence of a wearer of the "harem" skirt on tho Feilding racecourse Caused quito a littlo excitement, and tho wearer and her escort wore followed round the paddock by a largo crowd of men and boys, which at one time pre--1 mi.sed to bacomp slightly unruly, says the Feilding "Star." Ono or two belated groans, however, wero the solo signs of antagonism. The costume was distinctly neat and attractive, and certainly much raoro sightly and sensiblo than the atrocious hobble. It is rumoured that tho fair unknown came spocinlly from Wollington.
