— » THE EVENTS CONCLUDED. ' I Yesterday, at Trentham Park, the Easter meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was continued and concluded. There was some interesting running in the later stages of the Wellington Stakes, which was commenced on Saturday, lu the third rou'nd ltufus Dawes beat Maximised by three points, Valorous beat Captain, Starlight by one point, and Full of Mischief rah a ' bye. Valorous defeated Full of Mischief in the. semi-final by two points, and Kufus Dawes ran a bye. Ktifus Dawes had a lucky win in th'j final in which he defeated Valorous by one point. _ In the opening heat of the Trentham Stakes, H. J. Coleman's Baffles scored a one-point victory over Wiremu Neeri's Gold Dust, lu the second heat J. Jenkinson's: l'irate Captain beat E. M'lntosli's Eoval Artillery by a point and a half. Pirate Captain won in the final by a point and a half after a long course. • The Supplementary. Stakes, (for all dogs beaten in the first and second round of thu Wellington Stakes). was not run to a final owing to the supply of hares being insufficient. An arrangement for dividing the stake was come to. The heats resulted as follow:—G. Wareham's Presentation. beat J. J. O'Donoghue's Wellington by one point; J. J. O'Donoghue's Czarina II beat J. Williamson's The leader by points; J. Jenkinson's British Grenadier beat F. Prestigo's Pelorus Lady by 1 point; H. Smith's Miss Bodmin beat J. Jenkinson's Bulwark Maid by 4'.points; K. M'Kenzie's Blue Skv beat W. Blackie's Balderdash by G points; Washington and Little's Reprisal beat CI. T. Swanwell's Taipo Nui; G. Hagan's Fawn Rose had an accidental bye; and J. Brosnan's Kilfilem- drew a bye.
