TWO LITTLE GIRLS DROWNED. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) Nelson, April 17. While playing on the sands near the quarantine station at Tahuna this alter--110011 two sisters named Wilson, aged respectively ten and niuo years, got out of their depth, and were drowned. The bodies have not yet been recovered. Tho children were inmates of the St, Andre.v'a Orphanage, and their father lives tat Westport.

A LITTLE BOY DROWNED. . Gisborne, April 17. An inquest was held by Mr. H. Hill, jun., Acting-Coroner, on a little boy, Edward Truniper, aged 11, who was drowned in the Waimata River while bathing with his two smaller brothers. Groat difficulty was experienced in recovering tho body, owing to lock of proper appliances, a constable being compelled to dive repeatedly. Tho jury relumed a verdict of accidental drowning, and drew tho attention of the authorities to the necessity of getting proper grappling irons.

A FRACTURED'LEG. A driver, named Arthur Gatrell, was admitted to the hospital yesterday suffering from a fractured leg, the result of an accident on Friday last. He is a single man, 21 years of age, residing with his parents at Karori' Road,

Wliilo at Wonderland yesterday, Mrs. Louisa Goodnll, of 40 Epmii Street, met with an accident on the toboggan, and received a severe shaking. She was removed to the hospital.
