PARAPARAUMU FATALITY.
THE BODY RECOVERED. The body of the young man, Clarence Morrish, who was drowned ofi'Paraparaumu on Sunday morning, was washed ashore near Paraparaumu yesterday, several of deceased's friends visited the locality yesterday in order to assist in •i, ® ear , c ' l along the beach. The body will be brought to Wellington this mornVJ?! -later, tile City Coroner (Dr. A. M Arthur) will hold an inquest into the circumstances surrounding the fatality. Among those engaged in the search yesterday u;ere Messrs. J. Barr, A. J. Graham, and W. C. Ball, who visited the scene of the accident on behalf of Messrs. Mackv, Logan, and Caldwell, by whom usccased was employed. With other searchers they patrolled the coast from Paraparaumu to Paekakariki. From particulars now available it appears that Mr. D. D. Hyde rescued his son, who accompanied Morrish in tho fatal boating trip, by swifcming a horse out through the surf for x distance of half a mile. When Mr. Hyde turned shoreward Morrish was clinging to an oar, but when the Ilvdes (father and son) had reached the beach, Morrish had dis~ appeared. . Clarence Morrish is the second member, of his family who has been the victim of a fatal boating accident. About six months ago his brother was accidentally drowned at Auckland. The sister and the only surviving brother of the deceased youth, together with his brother-in-law, are now living in Christchurch. His father is dead ITis mother, n.s ivas stated resterdar. is now in Wellington.
