Iho annual contest for the Keesing Cup drew a goodly number of bowling enthusasts, the Wanganui, St. Johi/s, Feilding, Marten, and Waverley Clubs bein" represented. At the end of Friday's pa? Play will be resumed on Monday, if fine A verly large number of Old Boys of the Collegiate .school arc at present 'in town having come to attend the annual Old Boys gathering, the first function of which took place this afternoon, when the Bishop of Wellington laid the foundation stqno of the new college chapel. This being practically Bishop Wallis's last offi cial act in New Zealand, a large number of people were present at the ceremonv as was also Hie case at tho service held in the old co lege chapel in the evening, when the Bishop preached an impressive sermon, having special reference to the afternoon s event. Mr. N.- Meuli is the contractor for tho .erection of the college buildings, and will also erect the chapel beginning as soon as the main building have wen handed over. In addition to those brought hero by various athletic and other attractions there is also an exceptionally largo number of holiday-makers in town, and all the hotels and bonrdiiißhouscs nTC t aXo( j to their utmost.
