The committee appointed to consider the offer of the Taieri and Peninsula Dairy Company to extend- their business to Tijhnru met ; . to-day, arid ■ decided not to accept the offer. A co-operative company is in process of formation, with a prospect of being able to get to work on a satisfactory financial basis. There'is a. general desire among smippliers aund townspeople that.the manufacture should bo under local control.
