(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Mastcrton, April 15. The drought experienced in the Wairarapa for the past seven weeks broke on Friday. Rain fell intermittently yesterday, and th 3 anxiety of the farmers has been relieved. Eltham, April 15. Hetweeu 1 and 9 a.m. 3.59 inches of rain fell. This is the heaviest fall ever vecorded in Eltham in the same space of time, the highest for 21 hours being about 2.--13. Steady rain was falling all this morning, with signs of continuance. It will do a great deal of good. Blenheim, April 15. The first rain of any consequence since the beginning of March fell yesterday and the weather is still showery. In consequence the attendance at Hie opening of the Seildon-Ward section of the South Island -Main Trunk railway is likely to be prejudicially alfected. The rain," however, will prove a godsend to farmers.
