VILLAGE EGG FARM.
H. LEGER, LEVIN. Mr. H. Leger, of Wereroa, has a special advertisement in this issue today. He is a well-known breeder of the popular' White Leghorn variety. Ho won the first Blenheim CRg-laying competition, and, although not personally so successful in later contests, he has supplied stock from which many topnotchers or winning pens have been bred, notably Mr. 0. Sail's, and many others. Having a large and carefully selected number of breeders, Mr. Leger lias decided to send nut d.ny-old, chicks by post to customers in addition to adult stock and sotthiEs. These, when roara!, should -prove a first-rate advertisement in themselves. Mr. Lcger has lately imported two pens, consisting of -i nine Indian Runner ducks from Mr. G. Rogers, of New South Wales, and ono pen of six, ClifFord-Dunlop, Farr's. These ducks have the highest egg records known. As will be seen from last Saturday's Dominion, Mr. Rogers won both tho ono year and two years' tests, at tho Hawkcsburv College. New So'utii Wales, with 1278 and 246-1 eggs respectively. ■ • ' '
