THE ASSAM MURDERS.
MILITARY EXPEDITION DELAYED. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyrieht Calcutta, April .12. There are four survivors of the party headed by Mr. Noel Williamson, a British political officer, who, with others, was murdered at Sadiyo, Assam, by tribesmen. Friendly Abars (the murders were committed by that tribe) state that Mr. "Williamson was bound and mutilated. Bentinck's military police, who have left for the scene, are halted at Pasi"hat. Swollen rivers will render the successful _ carrying out of the expedition impossible till tho cold weather comes.
