CORONATION EXHIBITION.

AGRICULTURAL DISPLAY: A FLAT , REFUSAL. Mr. T. Ballinger presided at the meeting of the committee of the 'Wellington Provincial Industrial Association last evening. The chairman said the closing day of the Wellington Coronation Exhibition had been advertised as Saturday, July L'B. It was found that the date should be July 'JO, and steps had been taken to publicly notify tuis. The chairman further reported that all the available floor space in the Exhibition Building had been taken up by exhibitors. It was also reported in regard to school exhibits that the masters were against certificates being awarded. Tho reason for the objection was that the work of the scholars would be an exhibition and not a competition, since work was being selected lrom the various schools. The Agricultural Department had sent a representative to inspect the space allotted for its exhibit, tho prico of which worked out at £100. Iho Minister (the Hon. T. Mackenzie) had flatly refused to exhibit at this figure. Of course, other spaces in the gallery .would' be availablo at half that rate-, and word had been sent to that , effect to the Department. No reply, however, had been received. Tho chairman felt very sorry the Deportment had adopted this attitude. The exhibit would be a valuable attraction; but ho certainly thought the space should bo paid for. Tho chairman remarked enthusiastically upon the way in which the Harbour Hoard, whoso sheds aro being used, had met them in every way in regard to the Exhibition. It was decided, to, cal! for tenders for tho ust> of the Concert Hall during the Exhibition.

It was resolved to accept the offer of Mr. J. Gcdb'er for tho ten kiosk at the. Exhibition.

The price of tickets was fixed.as fol-lows:—-Gentlemen's season tickets, 10s. Gel.; ladies'. 7s. Gd.; single ticket, Is.; children, Cd.; season tickets for children under 15 years, ss.
