WELLINGTON CENTRAL MISSION.

At the quarterly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Central Mission hold'in Herbert Street Hall (the Rev. E. 0. Blamiros presiding) the returns presented showed an increase in membership, and that satisfactory, work was being carried on in all departments. After the work of twelve months in the King's Theatre the balance-sheet revealed an equalising of tlio receipts and expenditure for the year, leaving the original debt of £18 on the current account. Trust liabilities remain in the samo position, and the furniture account shows a debt of £80, a decrease of £-10 for the year. Appreciation was expressed at the ready support given to the mission by tho public in meeting tho financial needs of, the work. It was resolved that the fund for the poor be assisted by a quarterly collection in tho King's Theatre, and one Sunday's collection per year for foreign missions was voted. The. envelope system of contribution by members was supported, and a committee set up to further it. Thursday, June 1, was suggested by tlio Ladies' Guild for tlio date of tho conversazione, and Juno 15 was notified as the date of the visit of tho Eev. J. G. Wheeii. Sunday school reports were satisfactory, and the Brotherhood report was received. It was decided to celebrate the anniversary of tho King's Theatre services on Sunday, April 23 (Sir. Hwang, Consul for China, delivering a farewell address), and the Tercentenary of tho Authorised Version of the Scri'ntnro on April 30, three hundred souvenirs to bo secured. The report of the committee on musical and elocutionary competitions stated that its work had been taken up by the city society since formed, and the decision to assist the larger organisation was ratified. Permission was granted for the band concert on April 11.
