GALLOPS AT RICCARTON.
Christchurch, April in. To-day was an off day at Iticcarton. Cronsladt covered two strong circuits. Sharpshooter did the last' half mile of ttvo circuits in 55 2-ssec. Rose Noble galloped a mile in lmin. 49 4-sscc. Half to steady pacing was done by tho other horses out; Cheddar, Montiform, and Royal Scotch arrived yesterday, and did steady pacing this morning. After breakfast, Los Angeles covered two circuits at three-ciuartcr pace, and Colleen Marv eeven furlongs at a strong pace. No fast work was done.
