MORE FIGHTING IN MEXICO. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyricht Mexico City, April 9. General Williams, leader of a band of American rebels, attacked the Federal troops five miles south of Mexicali. The rebels were defeated, leaving eighty dead on the field. General Williams was mortally wounded by a fragment of a shell. Looted stores wero rccaptured by the Federals. General Madero, the insurgent leader, at the lead of sixty thousand men, has started for the Casus Grandes region, about halfway between El Paso on United States border aud Chihuahua. A battle is expected to take place here. The Chamber of Deputies has voted four million dollars to suppress the insurrection. Rebels trapped a force of ninety Federals in a canyon near Atlixco, Puebla. The Federals wero shot down, a few who were wounded alone escaping. AMERICAN FREEBOOTERS KILLED. (Rec. New York advices state that a revolutionary force in Mexico, composed of eighty Americans and commanded by an American ex-quartermaster, attacked a position held by *00 Mexican troops. The attackers were repulsed, losing 60 killed and wounded. On the other hand, ninety Federalists were ambushed and annihilated at Atlixco.
