ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
- DIED OX THE TRACK. New Plymouth, April 8. An inquest was held at Mokau en Wednesdny on Hid body of a man named Alexander Green, who was found dead on Mr. A. Kelly's farm, up tho river, on Monday. Deceased was a Norwegian sailor, aged about 50, and was a naturalised subject. At Patea he was engaged by Mr. Kelly to work on his farm, and accompanied him on Monday. Mr. Kelly went ahead with a young bull he had bought, and as Green did not turn ur nt the house, Jlr. Kelly returned and found him dead on tho track. lho coroner's verdict was that death was duo to heart disease.
RUN OVER- BY A MOTOR. A serious, accident occurred yesterday on tlio Kvans Hay Read. R. Daniels, a telegraph Iwy, who lives at l(i Aairn Street, while riding a bicycle round (ho Hay, crosfcd the road in front cf a motorcar. Unless ho has suffered injuries more serious than arc now apparent, tin boy may bo reckoned to have had a wonderful escape.
