MIRAMAR ELECTIONS.
AND THE LABOUK PARTY. A meeting of those interested in tho claims of Labour candidates for seats on the Miramar Council was held at Worser Bay on Saturday, and was attended by visitors from the main branch of the Wellington Labour Party. It was resolved to form a branch of the Labour Party in that district.
Mr. M'Laron pointed out that it was not the policy of the Labour Party to interfere with tho local affairs of another borough, and that (lie main branch would not think of dictating in the matter to the Miramar people. The branch of the party formed there would take the responsibility on iUelf of .-dec-tin;; such candidates as it chose—candidates who would work along progressive lines, in accordance with party principles. It is likely (hat another meeting of local residents will be called shortly, as Saturday was found lo be nn inconvenient day for meetings of that kind.
